Professor Masakatsu G. Fujie has been awarded more than 150 patents in the field of medical engineering, and published hundreds of scientific articles by now. From 1971 to 1999, he worked as director at Institute of Machinery and Electrical Institute of Hitachi Ltd. In 2001, he was appointed as professor at the Faculty of Technology, Waseda University.
